TopUp is an Eindhoven-based startup that focuses on creating sustainable housing solutions using biobased building modules. Our goal is to transform urban landscapes into sustainable communities where people can feel at home.
We are a passionate and enthusiastic team that focuses on making the built environment more sustainable. We combine research with practical experience and focus on creating a positive impact for the long term.

Meet the TopUp team! We are a group of (former) students of Eindhoven University of Technology and have been part of Team VIRTU/e, known from the Solar Decathlon Europ 21/22 in Wuppertal.

Why do we start this adventure?
A lot is happening in the construction sector to make the construction and use of buildings more sustainable. The emphasis here is on efficiency through technological development and horizontal urban expansion. However, we do not believe that a pleasant living environment is determined by a house that is equipped with all the gadgets that contribute to sustainability, but rather by social cohesion and having a real home feeling.
We believe that a higher quality of living can be achieved within the existing city through densification. We strive for social living environments that continue the character of the city and are future-proof in order to achieve our economic and ecological goals.

Working together to increase the number of people who can call a great neighborhood home. We strive to build with minimal impact and build on the quality of the existing neighborhood.
We create circular and scalable housing concepts through standardization while at the same time retaining the specific character of the existing district.
In this way we build in a way that is in line with the present and is future-proof for both people and the climate.

Where are we now?
We are now conducting our market research. To ensure that our vision becomes reality, we are talking to people from the industry. Together we are looking for the best market and implementation strategy for TopUp as a company.
